Yoga Girl has finally arrived! She has taken about two years, from my first thoughts about her, the first sketches, second sketches, finding a fantastic printer – (thank you Neal) to being a beautiful print that you can hang on your wall. She is in a series of six poses.
Virabhadrasana I – Warrior I
Virabhadrasana II – Warrior II
Eka Pada Rajakapotasana – King Pigeon Pose
Pincha Mayurasana – Pincha Pose
Tadasana – Tree Pose
Padmasana – Lotus Pose
The idea for Yoga Girl started when my daughter Rebecca took me to Nikki’s yoga classes in Salisbury. I watched in awe as Nikki and Rebecca turned themselves effortlessly inside out and did “downward dog”. I couldn’t even cross my legs, I am so not bendy! Little by little I became more flexible and after two years I can now cross my legs – woohoo!!!!…a very handy skill to have when sitting on the floor with little people. Yoga is a great way to pause the world outside. It doesn’t matter if you can bend in half or can’t, it’s all about breathing and quieting the mind. I love it!!!!
If you have a Yoga friend or are into Yoga yourself and think that my Yoga Girl would make a perfect gift, please pop over to my shop.
Namaste my lovely friends, that’s my Fun & Nonsense xxx
